Building Resilience During Difficult Times

Carol Mastroianni from the BBCC will review highlights from the results of a student survey that was given to Birmingham and Bloomfield Hills Public School students in May/June 2021 that measured how the pandemic has affected our students’ mental health.

Rabbi Blumstein is a teen mentor who creates awareness surrounding teen mental health and empowers teens to support one another in school and elsewhere. He will provide direct and explicit examples of how we can build mental resilience, as well as, review the myths and stigma around mental illness. Suicide awareness and prevention will also be discussed.

A panel of BHHS/IA students will share their views on how mental health is affecting their peers.

Parents and students grade 6 and above (accompanied by an adult) are encouraged to attend this program.
